Managing Tenants

This topic helps with managing tenants in the Device Preferences system.

Tenants represent an organizational structure that is used as an layer of data between a customer and a site. For example, if the customer “ABC Hospitals,” which has an entire network of hospitals, manages data in two separate data centers for all of its hospital locations, the data centers where the information is stored for all of the sites would be considered a tenant.

Viewing Tenant Information

Tenant information can be viewed.

  1. Access the Spok Enterprise Administration interface. This can be done by accessing one of the following locations: http://FQDN_or_IP_Address/Amcom/Web or https://FQDN_or_IP_Address/Amcom/Web.

  2. Choose the Administration > System Configuration > Tenant menu option. Tenant information displays.

Name In the Name field, the name for the tenant that you are viewing displays.
NOTE: This value cannot be edited.
Language From the Language drop-down, choose the language that you would like to be used at the location for the tenant that is being viewed.
TimeZone In the TimeZone field, choose the time zone in which the location for the tenant that is being viewed is located. For example, if the tenant that you are viewing is associated with a location or site in Chicago, Illinois, you would choose the Central Time option because Chicago is in the Central Time zone.
Mobile Sites In Mobile Sites, click Add to enter a Site ID and Name for the Spok Mobile service.
NOTE: The Site ID is provided by Spok at the time of purchase. This is typically loaded at the time of licensing, but can be edited if needed.
Long Date Format From the Long Date Format drop-down, choose the format that you would like the system to use to represent date information in the “Long Date Format.” An example of a date in the “Long Date Format” is the following: “Wednesday, 14 May 2014.”
Long Time Format From the Long Time Format drop-down, choose the format that you would like the system to use to represent date information in the “Long Time Format.” An example of a date in the “Long Time Format” is the following: “9:24:28 AM.”
Short Date Format From the Short Date Format drop-down, choose the format that you would like the system to use to represent date information in the “Short Date Format.” An example of a date in the “Short Date Format” is the following: “11/22/2014.”
Short Time Format From the Short Time Format drop-down, choose the format that you would like the system to use to represent date information in the “Short Time Format.” An example of a date in the “Short Time Format” is the following: “10:32.”
Record Conversation Enable the Record Conversation option if you would like conversations to be recorded into .wav format for later use.
NOTE: The Record Conversation option is only when Care Connect Speech is installed.
    Speech Callback Number

In the Speech Callback Number field, enter the speech callback number for the system at the customer’s site. The number that is entered into this field is dictated by the site’s preferences.

For example, if a user receives an email from this system, the system has a line item that tells the user what number to call back into. This is the number where the caller is then prompted for their transaction ID to proceed with the call. The number that is configured in this field is included in the line item that tells the user what number to call back into.

NOTE: This number is reflected in the New Web Message template where a tag of ${speechnumber} is available. This takes the configured number and is shown in the body of the web-initiated message email.

NOTE: The Speech Callback Number feature is only when Care Connect Speech is installed.

    Application Features

These options are ready only and are enabled when the Device Preferences license is imported.

NOTE: In this section, IVR refers to Care Connect Speech.
