Managing Your Profile

Viewing Your Profile

  1. Click your profile iconCC_Profile_icon.PNG. The settings menu is displayed.
  2. Click My Profile. The My Profile screen is displayed.

Editing Your Profile

Some profile information may not be editable. Your organization determines what profile information can be updated by its employees.

Managing Your Name and Aliases

Adding a Preferred Name

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Preferred Name field in the Account Details section.
  2. Enter your preferred name.
  3. Click Save.

Adding an Alias

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Alias section.
  2. Click + Alias. A blank alias field is displayed.
  3. Enter an alias in the field.
  4. Click Save. The alias is added to your profile.

Removing an Alias

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Alias section.
  2. Click CC_Close_X.PNG.
  3. Click Save. The alias is removed from your profile.

Managing Your Profile Picture

Updating Your Profile Picture

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Profile Photo section.
  2. Click Upload. A file browser is displayed.
  3. Locate and open the desired photo on your computer. The image is saved as your profile picture.

Removing your Profile Picture

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Profile Photo section.
  2. Click Remove. The profile picture is removed.

Managing Your Phone Numbers

Adding a Phone Number to Your Profile

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Phone Number section.
  2. Click + Phone Number. A blank phone number entry is added to the list.
  3. (Required) Click the Type drop-down menu. Choose the type that best describes the new phone number.
  4. (Required) Click in the Phone Number field. Enter the phone number.
  5. (Optional) Add a check to the Private checkbox to make the phone number private. See Managing Phone Number Privacy for more information.
  6. Click Save.

Adding Additional Phone Numbers to Your Profile

Multiple phone numbers can be added to your profile.

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Phone Number section.
  2. Click + Phone Number. A blank phone number entry is added to the list.
  3. Configure the new phone number. See Adding a Phone Number to Your Profile.
  4. Repeat this process until all required phone numbers have been added to the list.

Setting an Existing Phone as Your Primary Phone

The number at the top of the list is designated the primary phone number in your profile. You can promote a phone in your profile to be your primary phone.

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Phone Number section.
  2. Click CC_drag_handle.png and drag the number to the top of the Phone Number list. The phone number is now your primary number.

Managing Phone Number Privacy

By default, new phone numbers are set as public in Spok Go. A public phone number is visible to anyone in the organization and is discoverable in directory searches. A private phone number cannot be found in directory searches, and only users with the ability to view private numbers can view it.

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Phone Number section.
  2. Click the Private checkbox to to change the privacy setting for the phone number.
  3. Click Save.

Removing a Phone Number from Your Profile

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Phone Number section.
  2. Click CC_Close_X.PNG. The number is removed from the list.
  3. Click Save.

Managing Your Facilities

Adding a Facility to Your Profile

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Facility section.
  2. Click + Facility. A blank phone number entry is added to the list.
  3. (Required) Click the Facility drop-down menu. Choose the desired Facility from the list.
  4. Click Save.

Adding Additional Facilities to Your Profile

Multiple facilities can be added to your profile.

  1. Click + Facility. A blank facility entry is added to the list.
  2. Configure the new facility. See Adding a Facility to Your Profile.
  3. Repeat this process until all required facilities have been added to the list.

Setting an Existing Facility as Your Primary Facility

The number at the top of the list is designated the primary phone number in your profile. You can promote a phone in your profile to be your primary phone.

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Facility section.
  2. Click CC_drag_handle.png and drag the number to the top of the Facility list. The facility is now set as primary.

Removing a Location From Your Profile

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Phone Number section.
  2. Click CC_Close_X.PNG. The number is removed from the list.
  3. Click Save.

Managing Your Roles

Adding a Role to Your Profile

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Role section.
  2. Click + Role. A blank role entry is added to the list.
  3. Click in the Role drop-down menu and choose the role to be added to your profile.
  4. Click Save.

Adding Additional Roles to Your Profile

Multiple roles can be added to your profile.

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Role section.
  2. Click + Role. A blank role entry is added to the list.
  3. Configure the new role. See Adding a Role to Your Profile.
  4. Repeat this process until all required roles have been added to the list.
  5. Click Save.

Setting a Role as Your Primary or Secondary Role

The roles in the first two slots at the top of the list are designated as the primary and secondary roles in your profile. You can promote a role in your profile to be your primary or secondary role by clicking on and dragging the role to the desired position in the list.

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Role section.
  2. Click CC_drag_handle.pngnext to the role to be set as primary or secondary role and drag the role to the desired position in the list.

Removing a Role from Your Profile

  1. While viewing the My Profile screen, locate the Role section.
  2. Click CC_Close_X.PNG. The role is removed from the list.
  3. Click Save.
