Page Log
The Smart Center Page Log is a 7-day log that shows the list of pages sent, whether successful or unsuccessful, during the current day plus the previous six days. The information in this log is used primarily for troubleshooting purposes.
Records in this log are derived from the paging queue that monitors real-time paging activity throughout the Smart Suite paging network. Please refer to Queued Pages for more information about the paging queue.
The Page Log is a view-only log, which means that you must execute a query to update information in this log. It is not a dynamic log.
1. Select Queues and Logs|Logs|Pages. The Page Log form displays.
2. Press <Enter> to display all exception log records.
3. Scroll up and down to see various paging records. Scroll left and right to see details associated with a particular record.
4. Choose File|Screen Print to print the form.
5. Click the X button in the upper right corner of the form to close it.
Date/Time |
The date and time at which the page entered the paging queue. |
Messaging ID |
The messaging ID number of the person or group to whom the page was sent. |
Name |
The name of the person or message group associated with the messaging ID number shown in the Messaging ID field. |
Group # |
With pages sent to a message group, the Group # identifies the message group to which the message was sent. |
Msg # |
The sequence number of this message. |
Message Type |
The type of message, if selected, that was sent. |
Pager ID |
The pager to which the message was sent. |
COS |
The class of service associated with the pager address. |
RCC |
The paging company associated with the pager address. |
Priority |
The priority assigned to the page when it was sent. |
Date Queued |
The date and time at which the page entered the paging queue. |
Position |
The position of the page within the paging queue at the time the page was queued. |
Rebeep Count |
The entry indicates whether the rebeep flag was enabled for this page and which transmission of the page this log entry represents. When Rebeep Count = 0, the pager was only contacted once. No other contact attempts (rebeeps) occurred. When Rebeep Count = 1 or more, the number indicates the number of times the pager was re-contacted after the original contact attempt. The value in this field will be less than or equal to the value in the Rebeep Max field. The maximum number of rebeeps is specified in the Rebeeps field in the Pager Class of Service form. |
Rebeep Interval |
The length of time, measured in minutes, between contact attempts (rebeeps). The interval is specified in the Rebeep Interval field in the Pager Class of Service form. |
Rebeep Max |
The maximum number of rebeeps for the pager. The maximum number of rebeeps is specified in the Rebeeps field in the Pager Class of Service form |
Error # |
The type of error, if any, encountered during page transmission. |
Problem |
A description of the error shown in the Error # field. |
Response |
Information on how to fix the problem. |
Action |
The action taken to handle the problem. Some options are: PAGE SENT: Displays if the page was sent without error. PAGE CANCELLED: Displays if the page was cancelled before it was sent. |
User name |
The Oracle login ID used by the process device that handled the page. |
Machine |
The IP address or other process identifier associated with the device that processed the page. |
Module |
The program module associated with the device that processed the page. |
Session ID |
The session associated with the device that processed the page. |
Sending Username |
The Oracle login ID of the Smart Console attendant or other application that initiated the page. |
Sending Machine |
The IP address or other process identifier associated with program that initiated the page. |
Sending Module |
The application module from which the page was sent, such as Smart Console, PageMate, or VRU. |
Sending Session ID |
The software session from which the page was sent. |
Paged Text |
The actual paged message displays in the lower half of the form. Scroll to read the entire message if necessary. |
