Console WCTP Integration with Spok Go

This article provides details on the supported features and functionality when Spok consoles are integrated via WCTP with Spok Go. This includes example call flows and lists of supported features.

Supported Features in Spok Go

The consoles can be integrated to allow a Spok Go user access to a limited set of information. Within Spok Go, you can:

  • Receive a message from the consoles or Spok Mobile. All messages between Spok Go, Smart Suite, MediCall, Spok Console, and Spok Mobile are considered one-way messages and the message sender is displayed as "Message Service". However, in your message, you can add your name to let the message recipient know that you sent the message.
  • View a limited set of delivery acknowledgements and status indicators. View the call-flow diagrams below for more information.

You cannot send a message from Spok Go directly to a console user.

  1. Queued/Delivered/Read messages statuses only apply to Smart Suite and Spok Console (MediCall supports HTTPS-related success/failure communication statuses, but not message-specific read/receipts).

Sending a Message from Spok Mobile to Spok Go

You can send a message from a Spok Mobile device to a Spok Go device. The message is sent through the consoles using WCTP.
