Managing Your Profile

Viewing Your Profile

  1. While using Spok Go, tap your profile icon  profile icon mobile.png.
  2. Tap View your profile. The profile information screen is displayed.

Editing Your Profile

Some information may not be editable. Your organization determines what profile information can be updated by its employees.

Managing Your Profile Picture

Updating Your Profile Picture

  1. You can update your profile picture with an image from your device's gallery or take a new picture using your device's camera.
  2. While viewing your profile information, tap edit profile mobile.jpeg. The Edit Profile screen is displayed.
  3. Tap Update. The Set Profile Picture action menu is displayed.
  4. Choose the method you want to use to create your new profile picture by tapping Camera or Gallery.
    1. Choosing Camera allows you to use your device's camera to take a photo.
    2. Choosing Gallery allows you to choose an existing photo from your device.
  5. Once you have chosen your picture, the resizing tool is displayed. Resize your picture as desired and accept it. The picture is set as your profile picture.

Removing your Profile Picture

  1. While viewing your profile information, tap edit profile mobile.jpeg. The Edit Profile screen is displayed.
  2. Tap Remove. The profile picture is removed.

Managing Your Name and Aliases

Adding a Preferred Name

  1. While viewing your profile information, tap in the Preferred Name text field.
  2. Enter your preferred name.
  3. Tap Save.

Adding an Alias

  1. While viewing your profile information, tap in the Alias text field.
  2. Enter the desired alias.
  3. (Optional) Add another alias by tapping Add Alias to display new Alias text field. Enter the additional alias. Repeat this step until all aliases have been added.
  4. Tap Save.

Removing an Alias

  1. While viewing your profile information, tap on the alias to be deleted.
  2. Using the keyboard's delete key, delete the alias. Repeat this for every alias that is to be deleted.
  3. Tap Save.

Managing Your Locations

Adding a Primary Location to Your Profile

  1. While viewing your profile information, locate the Add Location button and tap it. The Primary Location section is displayed.
  2. Tap the Select Location drop-down menu. The Select Location screen is displayed along with a list of locations in your organization.
  3. Find the desired location using the search field or scrolling through the list
  4. Tap Save to close the Select Location screen and add the location as your primary location.
  5. Tap Save to save the changes to your profile.

Adding Additional Locations to Your Profile

Multiple locations can be added to your profile.

  1. While viewing your profile information, locate the Add Location button and tap it. A new Location section is created.
  2. Tap on the Select Location drop-down menu. The Select Location screen is displayed along with a list of locations in your organization.
  3. Find the desired location using the search field or scrolling through the list
  4. Tap the location to select it.
  5. Tap Save to close the Select Location screen and add the location to your locations list.
  6. Tap Save to save the changes to your profile.

Setting an Existing Location as Your Primary Location

You can promote a location in your profile to be your primary location.

  1. While viewing your profile information, scroll to find the location that will become your primary location.
  2. Tap CC_kebab_icon.png. The Options menu is displayed.
  3. Tap Set as Primary. The location is moved to the Primary Location.

Removing a Location From Your Profile

  1. While viewing your profile information, scroll to find the location to be removed.
  2. Tap on CC_kebab_icon.png. The Options menu is displayed.
  3. Tap Remove. The location is removed from your profile.

Managing Your Phone Numbers

Adding a Primary Phone Number to Your Profile

  1. While viewing your profile information, locate the Add Phone button and tap it. The Primary Phone section is displayed.
  2. (Optional) The default phone type is Work. Tap Work to display a list of phone types and choose the desired type from the list.
  3. Tap in the Phone Number field and enter the phone number.
  4. Tap Save.

By default, new phone numbers are set as public in Spok Go. See Managing Phone Number Privacy for more information.

Adding Additional Phone Numbers to Your Profile

Multiple phone numbers can be added to your profile.

  1. While viewing your profile information, locate the Add Phone button and tap it. A new Phone section is displayed.
  2. (Optional) The default phone type is Work. Tap Work to display a list of phone types and choose the desired type from the list.
  3. Tap in the Phone Number field and enter the phone number.
  4. Tap Save.

Managing Phone Number Privacy

By default, new phone numbers are set as public in Spok Go. A public phone number is visible to anyone in the organization and is discoverable in directory searches. A private phone number cannot be found in directory searches, and only users with the ability to view private numbers can view it.

  1. While viewing the phone to be updated, tap the Make Public checkbox to change the privacy settings for the phone number.
  2. Click Save.

Removing a Phone Number from Your Profile

  1. While viewing your profile information, locate the phone to be removed from your profile.
  2. Tap CC_kebab_icon.png. The Options menu is displayed.
  3. Tap Remove. The phone is removed.
  4. Tap Save.
