Always Up Main Window – Why is the State of an Application Listed as “Waiting”?
Resolution/Topic
First, check if the application is configured to wait to restart. Please see page 20 in the Always UP User Manual - https://www.coretechnologies.com/pro...UserManual.pdf
Under the Restart tab, if Not immediately, but: is selected, then the application is configured to wait to start. How long the restart is delayed depends on the rest of the settings on this page.
Possible other causes:
- You are not logged into the server as the “E911 administrator”.
- When the E911 system was installed, an administrator account was created for the “E911” server. This account should be the only account used when working with the Spok products on the “E911” server. Logging in with another account could lead to multiple instances of the application running at the same time which will cause issues. Only 1 instance of each E911 application (Enterprise Alert, PS/ALI, Xnupdate, etc…) should be running on the E911 server.
- The application is being run outside or Always Up.
- If you see the application in Always Up but also see the icon for the application minimized to the taskbar, close the instance that is minimized to the task bar and restart the application via Always Up.
