Smart Alert Errors 101xx - TAP (Out) Errors

TAP Errors

 


 

The following table lists the Smart Alert errors for the TAP module.

Error No. Initiated Description Action
10101 TAP System rule violated This usually means that you sent a page to an invalid pager ID, or an invalid message type to a pager (i.e. text to a digital pager).
10102 TAP Too many NAKs received Check the serial connection between the Amcom (Smart Suite) server and the paging terminal.
10103 TAP Invalid page packet Check the paging tables in the Smart Center database for invalid data.
10104 TAP Invalid port Check the value of PORT in the tap.ini file. If this is correct, verify that the port is configured properly.
10105 TAP Invalid login Check the SERVICE and PASSWORD settings in tap.ini.
10106 TAP No response Check the ports, phone circuits, and modems at the Amcom (Smart Suite) server and the RCC paging terminal.
10107 TAP No carrier Check the phone number in the RCC table. If it is correct, check the phone circuits and modems at the Amcom (Smart Suite) server and the RCC paging terminal.
10108 TAP No dial tone Check the phone circuits and modems at the Amcom (Smart Suite) server.
10109 TAP No answer Verify the phone number in the RCC table.
10110 TAP Modem is busy This may happen occasionally during normal operation. If it continues, contact your paging RCC.
10111 TAP Modem error Check the modem and all connections.
10112 TAP Unknown modem response Check the modem and all connections.
10113 TAP Lost connection This may happen occasionally during normal operation. If it continues, check all connections, and contact your paging RCC.
10114 TAP Invalid file The specified file path does not exist, can not be opened or the specified process ID is not found.
10115 TAP Insufficient memory Unable to allocate memory. Restart the process and if problem persists, contact your system administrator.
10116 TAP Invalid connection type Valid connections are MODEM or DIRECT.
10117 TAP Undefined RCC RCC is not defined for the COS assigned to the specified pager id.
