Extension Mobility

Overview

Create a new EM profile.

Resolution/Topic

 

1.)    Go to C:\program files (x86)\Amcom\CTI Service.

2.)    Open up any existing .cfg file using notepad.

3.)    Go to file—save as and name the file the exact same that is in administration as well as the UCCX server and change the save as type to All files.  (i.e. OPER_xxx.cfg)

4.)    In the cfg file, correct the Cisco login (AKA: ACD login) as well as the extensions

5.)    Save the file.

6.)    Next open up em_profile.cfg or extmob.cfg in notepad from the same location (C:\program files (x86)\Amcom\CTI Service)

7.)    Copy the last line and paste it at the very bottom.

8.)    Correct the path to reflect the new operator’s cfg file name that you just created.  (Needs to be at the beginning of the line and the end of the line).

9.)    And then save the file.

10.)    Finally, you need to copy the newly created cfg file and the extmob.cfg or em_profile.cfg file over to each console.
