Signing In and Signing Out

This article describes how to sign in and out of Spok Go, how to log in using two-step verification, and how to reset your password.

Signing In

  1. If it is your first time signing in, enter the organization code that you received from Spok in the Organization ID field, then tap Next. If you do not know your organization code, tap Find Your Organization. You will receive an email for each organization that you are affiliated with, containing that organization's code.

Skip to step 2 if you have previously signed in.

  2. On the next screen, you will see several options for signing in.
    1. Each blue button lists an identity provider which your organization uses. Tap on one to sign in using your organization's credentials.
    2. Tap Spok Go Account to sign in using your Spok Go credentials.
    3. Tap a different organization from Recent Organizations to sign into a different organization.
    4. Tap Sign Into Another Organization if none of the previous options allows you to sign into your organization.
  3. When you successfully sign in, you will be taken to your Inbox.
  4. If you are locked out of your account, contact your organization's IT administrator.

A Spok Go mobile device session will expire after 90 days of inactivity.  After the session expires, you will be required to sign in again.

Using Two-Step Verification

Your organization may require native users to log in to Spok Go using two-step verification. With two-step verification, you need to enter your username and password for Spok Go, then you need to enter a security code from a third-party authenticator app or use a physical security key to verify your identity.

You must set up two-step verification in Spok Go for Desktop before you can sign in using two-step verification on your mobile device. For more information, see Setting up Two-step Verification.

Signing In with an Authenticator App

  1. Enter your username and password for Spok Go. A prompt for your 6-digit security code appears.
  2. Open your third-party authenticator app and enter the 6-digit security code on the Verify Your Identity screen, then tap Verify.

If your authentication was successful, you will be taken to your Inbox.

If your two-step verification fails or you cannot access your authenticator app, contact your administrator or your organization's technical support immediately.

Signing In with a Security Key

  1. Enter your username and password for Spok Go. A prompt for your security key appears.
  2. Hold your security key to the back of your phone. If the security key matches the key used during enrollment, you are signed in.

Signing Out

If you are using a shared mobile device, you should sign out of Spok Go when you are finished using it, so that other users will not be able to access your messages on that device. After you sign out, notifications for new messages will not appear until you sign in again.

If you have any unsent messages when you sign out, the unsent messages will not be saved.

  1. Tap the Account icon Spok_Go_Web_Profile_icon.jpg.
  2. Tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out again.

Resetting Your Password

If you are a native Spok Go user, you can reset your password on the Sign In screen. Native Spok Go users are created specifically for Spok Go, and do not sign in with their Active Directory credentials. If you sign into Spok Go using your Active Directory credentials, you will not be able to reset your Active Directory password from within Spok Go.

To reset your Spok Go password, do the following:

  1. At the Sign In screen, tap Forgot your password?
  2. Enter your email to verify your identity.
  3. Spok Go will send a verification code to the email that you entered above. Enter the verification code and your new password, then tap Save.

Your new password cannot be one of your previous passwords. In addition, your new password must be at least 8 characters long, and must contain each of the following:

    • An uppercase letter
    • A lowercase letter
    • A numeral
    • A special character
