Performing Basic Tasks

This page describes how to perform basic tasks in the Spok Care Connect Web application. It includes the following sections:

Some basic tasks can only be performed in the Spok Mobile app, such as deleting all messages in your inbox at once or resetting your password.

Changing Your Site Location

If you are registered at more than one site, you can choose which site to use as your active location. This allows you to have access to information like contacts and on call schedules for all of the sites you are registered to.

Currently, Spok Care Connect Web does not support multi-site users. Support for multi-site functionality will be added in an upcoming release.

To change your site location:

  1. In the application, click the drawer button. The drawer displays:

  2. In the drawer, choose the currently chosen site. A list of other available sites to which you are registered displays:

  3. From the list of available sites, choose the desired site. The chosen site displays in the drawer:

Changing Your Status

 

You can choose a status that represents your availability to other users:

  1. In the application, click the drawer button. The drawer displays.

  1. In the Status field in the drawer, choose the status that is being displayed. Additional available statuses display:

  1. Choose the desired status from the list of available statuses. The chosen status displays in the drawer and remains as your availability status until you manually change the status.

The statuses that are available to select are managed in the host system to which your account is connected. The text for the statuses cannot be edited in the Care Connect Web application.

Deleting a Message

To delete an individual message in a chat, perform the following steps:

  1. Click on the chat with the message you would like to delete. The chat will display:

  2. Hover your cursor over the message you want to delete. A bar containing the More actions More Options Icon.png icon will display next to the message.
  3. Click the More actions More Options Icon.png icon, then select Delete Message. The message will be deleted.

Deleted messages will only be removed from your inbox, and will remain visible for other participants in the chat.

Copying Message Text 

Due to HIPAA regulations and web functionality, the Care Connect Web application does not support copying text from messages. To indicate that this feature is not supported, a grayed-out "Copy message text" option is shown when a user clicks the More actions More Options Icon.png icon next to a message:
