Message Storage Settings

The message storage settings allow you to configure how many Spok Mobile messages are stored on your device, and how long they will be stored.

Your administrator may configure these settings on your device. In this case, you will not be able to change them.

Configure these settings carefully. Depending on the values that you set, you may lose messages while your device is offline. If your device goes offline for longer than the configured Maximum Message Age, messages may expire before your device comes back online. If your device reaches the maximum number of stored messages while it is offline, any messages over the maximum number will be automatically deleted and you will not see them when your device comes back online.

Maximum Message Age

To configure how long messages are stored on your device, do the following:

  1. In the Spok Mobile application, click the drawer button.

  1. In the drawer, click the Settings option.

  1. Choose the Max Message Age option.

  1. Select the maximum amount of time that Spok Mobile messages will be stored on your device. Any messages older than this duration will be automatically deleted.

Maximum Messages Stored

To configure how many messages are stored in the Spok Mobile application, perform the following steps:

  1. In the Spok Mobile application, click the drawer button. The drawer displays.

  1. In the drawer, click the Settings option.

  1. Select the Max Messages Stored option.

  1. Select the maximum number of messages that you would like to store on your device.

Delete All Messages

The Delete All Messages option allows you to delete all of the Spok Mobile messages that are currently stored on your device. For detailed information on how to delete all of your Spok  Mobile messages, see Performing Basic Tasks.
